Transient services and homeless programs.

In any city, the downtown shopping district is vital to the economy. Businesses rely on customers coming in to spend money. Unfortunately, downtown areas are also often magnets for homeless people and petty criminals. This can create an unsavory environment that drives away potential shoppers.

In order to address this problem, the ABC District works to remove homeless persons who pose a threat to shoppers and clean up garbage in the district. These policies have been shown to be effective in creating a cleaner, more attractive environment that attracts more customers and benefits businesses.

The issue of homelessness has a significant impact on business and property values within the District. Businesses suffer when customers do not feel safe coming to their establishments, and property values decline when there is an increase in blighted or vacant properties. In order to mitigate the impact of homelessness, it is crucial that the District take steps to address the root causes of the problem.
